Ricky Cole is a professional dancer and choreographer and currently CEO of Soul Fresh Clothing & physical extension Soul Fresh Fam, a clothing company and Professional Dance/Mentorship. Ricky has judged competitions all over the US and internationally for Ireland and
Mexico Hip hop internationals competition. He has also traveled the world hosting, judging, teaching workshops and master classes sharing his passion and love for dances.
A well-known choreographer, dancer/performer and coach inside the international and Dutch dance scene. He earned his stripes developing various kid dancers and has worked on a professional level with Gregory Porter, Everybody Dance Now and has won numerous awards including Juste Debout and Spin Off. He is currently busy with bringing Funkstyles to the theater and will be judging the City2City battles at EMOVES this year.
THE GROOVE runs deep in the blood of this native Amsterdammer. Born into a professional percussionist family, he grew up touring with the likes of Santana, Chaka Khan, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Robert Palmer, Kool & the Gang. A respected international Hiphop-Funk artist with major accomplishments both underground and commercially as a choreographer, performer, musician, including judge for SYTYCD. This year he is the DJ at NEXTSTEP-XL.
Korash Kabir, also known as Flyingkorash, is the 2-times German Calisthenics Champion and went to Moscow for the world championships. Korash got the title German Athlete of the year in 2017. Korash is famous for his 360’s and his flyingwockee video’s where he does cool bar-tricks with a white mask. This year he will judge the combo elements on Saturday.
Tommy is a Calisthenics Pro Athlete and a judge for the Bar Battles since the first edition. He won the Dutch championships in 2017 and went to Moscow for the world championships. This year he will judge the static elements on Saturday and the weighted and maximum hold categories on Sunday.
Alan Leal Castro aka “KID BOOGIE” is a passionate and energetic dancer who has been dancing for as long as he can remember. Kid Boogie specializes in “Popping” and is a member of world famous crews such as Machine Gone Funk, Animated Villains and the Mop Top Crew. His drive and dedication led him to compete and teach around the world. Entering many of the famous competitions and also win some along the way.
SonYa is a professional dancer from Paris, specialised in Popping and Waacking. She is part of the only female Popping crew Bandidas. She has been training her popping skills since 2004, with Scalp at first then with the legendary Popin Pete, Suga Pop and Mr Wiggles. She has made a name in the battle scene in France and worldwide.
from Groovtronix Crew, started popping in 2000. He started competing in 2002 and won his first big battle in 2003. The same year he has performed together with Popin Pete and Skeeter Rabbit from the Electric Boogaloos in the show called “Funktherapy”. He has been a professional dancer for more than a decade now. Beside battling and performing, he has been spreading his knowledge since 2002 and has developed a way of teaching through improvisation.
Djidawi is a popping and waving reference in France. He has been dancing since a very young age in the North of France. He has been one of the judge of Juste Debout in 2014. The past few years he has created “Up” by Djidawi , a coaching program in personal development. After 15 years of learning and success in the artistic domain, he wanted to make his experience a teaching for the others.
He is specialized in the styles popping, house and floorwork. In 2008, he made the first step as a dancer and looked then above all to jabbawockeez, kaba modern and Quest crew. Mid-2009 he began with popping, this was a whole new world for him. He learned all kinds of variations in movements. His rule (always be a student, stay humble, create don’t try to imitate) In the battle scene they are often found.
Argil also know as Synthazoid is a dancer that is specialized in the style of popping. He’s been doing it for almost 8 years now. Synthazoid got his inspiration from different styles in popping, but the one that has stayed central, is the form of the dancing robot and the Oakland Boogaloo style. Michael started Popping at dynamo in Eindhoven approximately 7 years ago with some local high school friends. At Dynamo he met Jing/Juice who introduced him to popping, the culture and the many styles. He fell in love with the dance, because of the many styles in popping. The adventure of exploring all these styles, motivates him to keep on training and learning more about the style popping.
Edmerd Koffy A.K.A. Fonky Ninja is a dancer with fighting spirit that is comparable with what you normally see in anime. Five years ago he decided to specialise in Popping. Coming from the most southern part of the Netherlands, he is now starting to travel around more to participate in different battles since battling is one of the things he enjoys doing the most.
Besides representing himself the dancer from the town Maastricht also represent The Crazy Ninja’s and HFC crew.
Delphine Deydey Nguyen is a top dancer from France from Vietnamese background. She has been dancing since the age of 8, starting with hip hop as her first style. In 2001, she decided to pool her focus into her popping and locking and specialise in the funkstyle dances. She is one of the top poppers in the world that travels far and wide to teach, compete, perform and judge. Deydey made Popping history when she became the first female World Popping Champion after winning the 2009 UK B-Boy Championship solo popping battle.
Jing ‘Juice’ Wang is a popping dancer born in China. He discovered this dance style when he was 16 years old and has been pursuing it passionately ever since. He never had just one teacher but learned from various sources all around the world. He managed to develop an unique style through continuous practice and is able to share his know-how with the next generation through teaching. With all his acquired knowledge he became ambitious in building on to the culture and has been involved in multiple projects.
Steen Koerner started his career as a self-taught robot dancer in 1982 in Denmark, and traveled the world already at an age of 14 to take battles with the best from Berlin, London, Paris and New York. He has since been a driving force in the urban arts community and was awarded the Hip Hop Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. He is today a huge reference in terms of animation and tutting and has been spreading his knowledge all around the world.
Jeffery “Machine” Mccann, 27 years old, started dancing at the age of 9 in Sacramento, California. Being on the streets, watching Martial Arts movies, and being part of Hip Hop in the early 90’s, all influenced his dance styles to vary from old forms of rocking to acrobatic tricks. He started his dance career with Show Biz Productions working with the Sacramento Kings and Sacramento Monarchs. That opportunity soon led to Jeff dancing as a professional b-boy around the world in places.
Steffan “Mr. Wiggles” Clemente is one of the most dynamic and influential figures in the HipHop culture today. He is a member of the world renown Rock Steady Crew and The Electric Boogaloos. This multi talented virtuoso is blessed with the ability to dance, act, choreograph, teach, produce music, and is a gifted Grafitti artist. Mr. Wiggles is one of the judges of Planet Pop’n during EMOVES.
Handy “MonstaPop” Yacinthe is recognized as one of the leading forces in building the current-day Montréal popping community, and an innovative dance creator and technical experimenter in his own right. Montréal-born of Haitian parents, he has travelled throughout Canada, Europe and Asia competing, teaching, judging and exchanging with other specialists.
Anthony “Slim Boogie” Armstrong is a native of Los Angeles and one of the younger members of Machine Gone Funk Poppin’ crew. When he was 18, house dancing was his door way to the dance scene and what lead him to witness Poppin’. Once he got hooked, Slim Boogie turned into one of the youngest poppers creating a lot of buzz in the international dance community.
Slim Boogie is one of the invites of Planet Pop’N and one of the judges at City 2 City.
Greenteck is a Canadian popper and has a strong reputation worldwide. He is well known for his great precision, impeccable style and funky flavour. Drawing in audiences with his innovative concepts, Greenteck is a true showman who uses his energetic spark to keep people guessing and leave them in awe of his creativity. He is one of the invites of Planet Pop’N.
Robbin is a lifestyle coach who trains people from all over the world and enjoys a conscious healthy way of life. He is the permanent host of the Bar Battles Eindhoven. Robbin is also known as the Warrior Monk.
DJ Renegade has a long history in HipHop. From it’s arrival in the UK he has been a part of the scene in one form or another. Starting as a 1st generation street dancer in 1982, he progressed to DJing in 1986.
A specialist in providing music for breakers, poppers, lockers and HipHop. He is a regular DJ at all of the big dance events across the globe including; UK BBoy Champs, IBE, BOTY, R16, Freestyle Session, Juste Debout, HipOpsession, Redbull BC1, BreakOnStage, EuroBattle, OutBreak, WOD and also at NEXTSTEP-XL and World BBoy Classic during EMOVES.
It has been over seven years now that Mofak devoted himself entirely to music as a compositor and a producer.
He first came from the dance industry where he mastered the Poppin’. He has a real fascination for the P-Funk culture from the 80s and its new forms like the G-Funk.
Niek is responsible for World BBoy Classic, the worlds most important 2vs2 BBoy competition, which takes place every year in Eindhoven. He loves to work in TV, Live Performances, and large projects that involve creative people from different backgrounds. As Artistic Director of The Ruggeds, he was one of the driving forces of getting their show Adrenaline to the theatres.
Reiji Takahashi is the brother of Daisuke Takahashi and an extremely talented Tricking from Japan. Daisuke and Reiji both made it to the top during Hooked Gathering 2018. They travel all over the world to show what Japan’s finest Trickers can do. This year they will be at Shut Up & Trick 2018.
