Bar Battles Eindhoven

Bar Battles Eindhoven is a Calisthenics and Street Workout competition for beginners and experts. The competition contains the elements of freestyle, 100 seconds strict-form pull ups, push ups and dips, weighted pull ups, dips and muscle-ups and maximum holds human flag, straddle planchet, front lever, back lever and handstand. The battles will be held on a mobile competition setup. You can win up to €800,- and all competitors will receive a nice goodiebag.

Competition

The battles are spread over two days:

On Saturday we have the freestyle beginners and expert battles combined with the 100 sec strict-form battles later that day.

  • Freestyle beginners   (1st place €100,- and more)
  • Freestyle experts   (1st place €250,- and more)
  • 100 sec. strict form dips   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • 100 sec. strict form pull ups   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • 100 sec. strict form push ups   (1st place €50,- and more)

On Sunday we have all the strength related battles. These categories are listed below:

  • Max. hold back lever   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • Max. hold front lever   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • Max. hold straddle planche   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • Max. hold human flag   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • Max. hold handstand   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • Max. 20KG weighted pull-ups -80KG*   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • Max. 20KG weighted pull-ups +80KG*   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • Max. 32KG weighted dips -80KG*   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • Max. 32KG weighted dips +80KG*   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • Max. 10KG weighted muscle ups -80KG*   (1st place €50,- and more)
  • Max. 10KG weighted muscle ups +80KG*   (1st place €50,- and more)

*Weighted categories +80KG and -80KG will be combined when there are less than 5 participants per category.

Calisthenics

Calisthenics means, in essence, body-weight training. Calisthenics exercises are intended to increase body strength, body fitness, and flexibility, through movements such as pulling or pushing oneself up, bending, jumping, or swinging, using only one’s body weight for resistance. The stronger you get, the more creative you can be with your exercises or the more repetitions you can do in a shorter time frame.
